Liverpool is a great place for foodies, with a range of options to try. I’ve condensed everywhere we tried into this post, so see what we loved and what was just mediocre.
Brunchin’
This was a great brunch spot, with a varied menu of sweet and savoury items.
I had the Banana and Nutella French Toast, and shared the Truffle Hash Browns with my sister. Both were delicious, especially the hash browns. Truffle is a unique flavour to appear at brunch, but a nice surprise.
I also got a Cranberry Martini, which was so pretty- look!
I fully recommend Brunchin’, especially as the service was great too.

Revolucion de Cuba
The vibes in here were great- they had an excellent playlist, which did attract a hen do, so if that isn’t your thing, maybe give it a skip. However, even though we weren’t drinking, we had a great time. It also overlooks the docks, so sitting outside at sunset at the end of August was lovely.
Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with the tapas I got. They had run out of a few items, and the food was hit and miss. The Corn Ribs were good, but the Patatas Bravas were a bit bland, the Veggie Quesadillas were mid and the Whipped Feta Dip was also lacking in flavour. However, if you came here for a few cocktails, I think you’d love it.
Moose Coffee
I think this was my favourite spot of them all.
The staff were super friendly, and the menu had loads of options for vegetarians.
What I really liked was they allowed you to half and half their eggs benedict, so I did a mix of the New Jersey Moose and New England Moose- one with potato hash and one with garlic spinach.
This was really good, and unusually they serve with pickles. I wasn’t originally sold on this, but I found it went really well with the overall balance of the dish.
The theming of the restaurant was also fun, with moose pictures everywhere. Put this one on your list.

Mowgli
This was recommended to me by several people, and there are now branches in London too, so I didn’t have to go all the way to Liverpool to try it.
Service was good and super fast. However, I think I made some bad choices.
I started with a Mango Lassi, which obviously was delicious. I love Mango Lassi!
I then opted for a “tapas”. I got the Mowgli Chip Butty, which ended up being masala potatoes in a wrap. The potatoes were great, but there was something extremely bitter on the wrap that meant I couldn’t eat it.
I also got the Yoghurt Chat Bombs, which were like Pani Puri with yoghurt, and they were stunning. Light, crispy, and super flavourful with chickpeas and a chutney that cut through with a delightful sweetness. Fully recommend those.
However, I then got the fake meat Keema Curry, and completely forgot Keema is mince, so I really didn’t enjoy this, but I do think that was on me.
Overall, it is nice, but I think all Indian street food is good and so I’m not sure if I’d make a bee-line for this specific restaurant.
Bam Boo
The major pull here was the Kinder Hot Chocolate, which we knew about before we went here.
I have to be honest, this was a tad underwhelming, as I think it was just a hazelnut hot chocolate, but still yummy!
I also had the Veggie Breakfast Brioche, which you can see was layers of filling. Eggs, veggie sausage, hash brown, cheese, and hollandaise sauce on the side.
This was so filling, it did me two meals.
My sister also got the Kinder Pancakes, which came with a little shot of hazelnut cream, and that was amazing
I think this is a great little place to pop to for a brunch or lunch, so definitely put it on your list.

Overall, Liverpool is a great place for food, and as you can tell, brunch! It was particularly great for vegetarians, so if you’re vegetarian too, you’ll have a great time.
Watch this space for a post on activities to do in Liverpool over a long weekend.
Until next time, and as it’s Strictly season, keeeeeeep eating!
